Innovative Solutions for the Crisis of Stuff
The global fashion industry is hurting the planet.
Operating in its current linear system, the fashion industry produces xx of carbon emissions, xx of water, and xx of waste every year. If this continues, by 2030 we will have produced… used… and wasted…tons or $$ of material… Consumers and governments have taken notice and brands are beginning to act. To save the industry and the planet, circularity can no longer be a choice, it is a necessity.
BVH makes fashion circular. We collect post-consumer clothing and textiles from around the world and use it as input to new manufacturing at scale. Our processes use less water, produces less carbon emissions and no waste.
30+ years innovating solutions for the crisis of stuff.
Founded by Bank & Vogue, one of North America’s largest traders of used goods, and sister company to UK’s vintage institution Beyond Retro, we have thirty years of experience and expansive partnerships within the post-consumer textile and recycling industry.
BVH disrupts fashion’s linear business model by working with forward thinking brands, designers, and textile recyclers to reuse discarded clothing as input to new manufacturing. We are constantly innovating relevant, profitable, and scalable solutions to maximize the value of post-consumer clothing and textiles to make fashion circular.
Together as a group of companies…
Tie this together and make it emphasize the importance of collaboration within our group of companies and the fashion industry… i.e. BV and BR and BVH work together to embody what the fashion industry at large should look like. Working together to eliminate waste from the industry and encouraging positive consumer habits.
Our factory
The respect we have for people and the planet is reflected in our factory. Energy and water saving systems allow us to process millions of garments every month while maintaining a minimal carbon footprint. The water we use is 85% recycled and 80% of our factory’s power is solar. In 2020 we used 45925 KwH of electricity, or just 39.3118 metric tonnes of CO2. We own our factory, which means we can assure that our highly skilled and experienced team of 50 full-time employees are paid fairly and have safe working conditions.
