Renewcell

The first truly circular story of our time. We brought the secondhand industry together with the latest innovations in fashion recycling technology to provide a circular solution at scale.

Beginning our partnership with Renewcell in 2017, we had a simple offering: jeans destined for landfill, and now we are their largest supplier, providing 30,000 metric tonnes a year of worn  out jeans to be made into a new virgin grade raw material for fashion production. Seeing all textile waste as an opportunity, we worked closely with the team to provide 15 shipping containers of 100% cotton jeans so far (and counting), for them to create their patented new recycled fibre, Circulose.

Upcycling cellulosic textile waste, such as cotton clothes, Circulose is a pristine new material that can be made into brand new clothes, and Renewcell has already collaborated with Levi’s, H&M and Make it Last to create beautiful, innovative collections. Working to develop even more potential with 95% cotton and more, the partnership will increase in 2022 with the opening of the new factory in Sundsvall, Sweden.

Together, we’re moving towards long lasting global innovations to divert waste from landfills and incinerators and make fashion sustainable.
